\"D_Orange_PhilTeas_Boat\"<\/a>Multibeam and Coring (SeaSeep) Surveys:\u00a0<\/strong>Phil Teas, Dan Orange, and John Decker are cross trained on all aspects of the program and frequently team up, overlap, or cover for each other during operations. Specific areas of expertise and responsibility, however, do exist. Dan is in charge of marine operations on a 24\/7 basis. He is the main problem solver and responsible for quality control. Dan also does all the front end work, making sure that the multibeam vessels are properly surveyed prior to start of the survey. This includes reducing the noise floor of the vessel and conducting pre-survey performance tests. Phil is a GIS specialists and is responsible for survey design and core target selection. He is responsible for daily planning and deals with modifications to the plan caused by weather or other issues. John manages the project timeline and budget, and oversees the core analysis program.<\/span><\/p>\n
